Our first house...A diamond in the rough... The before pictures

WE WON THE BID ON THE HOUSE!

It may not be much but we like the layout and some of its features...real wood floors...a wood burning fire place...a large nicely shaded back yard to name a few. So here are some pictures of the house we bought. If all goes well with the inspection (pray that it does) we will be able to start moving in and renovating in early September!

Front of the house.... We are removing the flower bed to the left and taking out that light and the storm door... more than likely painting the trim and garage door brown and painting the front door pumpkin orange and we may put some shutters on the window that would also be pumpkin orange... and we will be removing the sidewalk in the front and replacing it with paver stones and I look forward to planting some pretty flowers and bushes in the flower beds along the front...

Living room and breakfast bar... We are painting the room a light tan and refinishing the wood floor painting the under side of the breakfast bar (off white) and maybe adding some molding to the fire place.

Fire place My mom got me these two vases that will sit on either side of the fire place and I'm thinking that wall will be painted a cranberry color... and above the fire place we will be putting some family pictures....

Seeing as I like to sew and I am going to be sewing pillows for the living room I am going to sew all of the curtains for the house! I may even sew Adlie's bedding set... I have yet to find one I am absolutely in love with....

Kitchen.... We are going to bring the tan color in to this room as well.... We are going to replace the counter tops with a dark granite looking laminate and we are going with black appliances we are also talking about doing slate tile on the floor...

Kitchen 2 again we will be putting new counter tops here and I'm thinking about a tile back splash... I would like to do a bronze fixture and do some thing different with the sink.... also we are talking about a build for the bar... but its hard to explain

Dining room... paint new light fixture floor...

Garage um the car goes in here...lol

Master bath.. slate tile on floor new vanity and mirror and new tile for tub...*new light fixture too

Master bedroom... new carpet at some point new light fixture wall heating is coming off and painting

Hall way... floor fix and paint and new light fixture...

hall bathroom new light new sink and mirror new tile paint and shower fixtures... (slate tile on the floor too maybe)

Matt's office....(the video game room) paint clean the carpet (we may pull it up to see if there is wood if there is we will remove it)

guest bedroom... floor fixed walls painted ...

Adlie's room... fix floor... paint ( antique white with thin white vertical stripes) new light fixture...

Show us your life...Wedding party and Flowers

Well y'all it's Friday and you know that means Kelly is doing her Show us your life!!! This week is show us your wedding party and flowers... To see more of these pictures head on over to Kelly's blog (http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/2009/07/show-us-your-life-wedding-party-and.html) but for now here are my favorite pictures from our wedding!

Here is a quick run down... my bridal party was my friend Mary as my maid of honor and my friend Taylor who was also other maid of honor then Matt's sisters Taylor and Katy were bridesmaids. As for Matt's groomsmen Zach and Mitch were the best men and Isaiah and my dear friend Luke rounded the men out. For the flower girls Jenna Matt's sweet cousin and to lovely girls Makenna and Madison from our church and our ring barer was Matt's cousin Alan.
My sister Darci and her boyfriend(now husband)Tim were the Ushers. My friend Kristin's Dad Mike walked me down the aisle. Our photographer was a very sweet friend from church and our pastor who married us was a visiting pastor (my church pastor was out of town). For flowers we had pink and white roses wrapped with white, grey, and pink ribbon. The girls all had a charm on their flowers that said a special saying.( I made all the flowers for the wedding party Yeah I was nutty but it saved us a ton and they looked pretty)

Here are the Men of the wedding party... Matt (my hubby) Zack, Mitch, Isaiah, and Luke with our ring bearer Alan..
Here I am with our flower girls Jenna(in pink) and Makenna and Madison...

This is one of my favorite pictures this is Matt's sister Katy....

Sigh we really liked each other *grin*

Our wedding party the girls Katy Taylor Taylor Mary Me Matt Zach Mitch and the kiddos Makenna Alan Madison and Jenna... *missing Isaiah and Luke*

* we also for some reason never got a picture of me and just the girls*

This is Mary (my maid of honor) and I (I love this picture)

*this picture is blurry sorry* This is Marcia she and I worked together and became good friends she was sweet enough to play for us!

Here I am with My friend Kristin's dad who was sweet enough to walk me down the aisle! (for those of you who don't know my father died when I was 8 and my friend Kristin was an only child and died while we were in high school and I wanted him to walk me down the aisle as a tribute to her and my father and I loved him for doing this for me)

Saying our vows... We both wrote our own which was very sweet (we still have them too)

We instead of lighting a unity candle we did a Jewish tradition and mixed sand.... an looking at that picture I can still hear Josh Grobans song When you say you love me playing softly....

Our first kiss as husband an Wife...

This is a family tradition... we want to honor our family and friends who are unable to be with us on our wedding day and so we have special people light a candle for them as the ceremony starts...the dark candle was lit at my sisters wedding for our dad and it was also lit at mine (my three sisters lit it) and the pink one was for Kristin and the flowers were also there for Kristin (her mom lit the candle and we took the flowers to the cemetery the next day for Kristin *it also happened to be Kristin's birthday that following day)

This last picture is of our wish tree... It was planted out at my grandparents house but the tree has every one's wishes for our marriage on it ( I have all of them in a book now so we can look back on them)

Well there you have it our wedding. I can't believe it has been almost 5 years. I love him even more than I did the day we said I do.

So now that you have seen my wedding head on over to Kelly's blog and see some more!

Thanks for stopping by!

Show us your life....Wedding Dress!

Ok so I am a little late in posting this but better late than never. (I had a fussy teething baby *she is cute even when fussy don't you think)

It is Friday and we all know that means Kelly is doing her show us your life... And well this week is wedding dresses! Matt and I got married August 21st 2004 (we are coming up on 5 years). I tried on 3 dresses and LOVED the one I got. I wanted simple but pretty and light and airy. The dress was made of organza which made it super light and it had simple beading and a sweet little garden train.

Well there you have it y'all my wedding dress. If you want to see more head on over to Kelly's blog and check them out! (http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/2009/07/show-us-your-life-wedding-dress.html)

Fabulous find Friday!

I have been wanting to get Adlie some baby leggings but lately they are a touch to much for me to buy. BUT today Target has started carrying baby leggings! I got Adlie 2 pair and a cute pink onsie that says mommy and daddy love me. I honestly cant remember the last time I bought something for myself that was not going to also help me care for Adlie (a sling or snugglie). And honestly I don't mind that one bit! That little girl is my world and I am blessed to be her mama! here is a picture of her sweet little legs!!!
( I am messing with photoshop a bit so bear with me!! and let me know what you think)

The Leggings were $2.99! and they are also carrying footless tights and some super cute fashion tights too. So stay tuned for a post about getting this girly ready for fall.

* Quick note we ARE still looking at houses and we are putting an offer in on sunday and we will know monday about it and if we get the house tuesday I will get some pictures up of it for you to see. It will need some work but we love the "bones" of the house... hard wood floors... wood burning fire place... 1950's kitchen and a large back yard... Its a 4 bed room 2 full bath.So if you would just pray for us that this is the house for us. Please and thank you!!!*
