Way Back Whensday

OK so I know I am late with this post but I think better late than never oh and I did do my Wordless Wednsday post earlier so that should count for something!

This is me in June of 1985 at 6 months old!

This is the Hubs in November of 1983 at 8 months old!

And This little beauty is 4 months old on Friday.

She is a pretty good mix of mommy and daddy but looks a lot like her daddy sometimes!

Not Forgotten

Today was a cold yucky rainy day and sometimes it tends to make you feel just yucky too. I woke up today and just kept thinking about a dear friend of mine. (I'm going to keep her name out of this just for her privacy and will just simply refer to her as K) She and I went to school together but we were not friends until recently. I wish we had become friends on different circumstances but I believe God has a reason for every thing and at that point in my life we had lost 2 babies and I was now pregnant with Adlie . I was asking God why did I have to have this pain what was he trying to teach me...He was trying to show that he had a plan for my pain, K was also pregnant and lost her sweet little one in October and when I read about it I cried it made me think of our other babies and how hard it was to talk to people who had never been in that situation. I simply did just what I wish someone had done for me just be there when they needed me listen, support, and above all love. It is coming up on the 6 month mark for them and our friendship has grown and I truly love K and her husband like we had been friends for years. I want her to know that I am truly honored to be her friend and that their sweet little one will not be forgotten. K if you do read this I am so glad we are friends and I love you and am always here for you when ever you may need me.

Recession Fashion - Shoe Edition!!!!

No really I do and I know being short I should really love heels ( I so don't) I love flats and living in Indiana I know I'm rather crazy but I LOVE me some flip-flops No they are not year round shoes (confession) I wear them all the time oh and while we are at it I own 2 pair of crocs (yes they are ugly but comfort is #1 in my book) So okay this post is again Recession Fashion so every thing is under $30!!!!

Okay, Okay ,Okay I know I said I don't do heels but I love these! How cute would these be with a white eyelet sun dress! So now the goods.... these are from Target! These are the Wendi platform slide sandal by Mossimo for $22.99!

Again yes these are rather high for me but they are a wedge so less dangerous then the heels in my book! and really a cute pair of espadrilles should be a must own! To make these even better they are eco-friendly! Zoe & Zac Tigerlily Espadrille $26.99 at Payless!(they come in brown shown and purple)

These are a little on the expensive side but they are cute none the less! Sunny feet sparkling flip-flop at Target for $24.99! They come in white,yellow,red,and black!

Lets talk about comfort! Oh and so cute! What these are Eco-friendly!Amazing! Zoe &Zac Lotus oxford $29.99 at payless. Comes in black or white!

These bejeweled beauties are the Pilar flat $24.99 from Target!

The Perez Shine flat from Forever 21 $8.50 come in black,grey,and red!

I'm not sure if I am going to jump on the Gladiator band wagon just ,but if I do these will be the ones I will have to have! Remember though when it comes to trends don't go over bored with paying to much. which is why I like these from Target $19.99!!(Mossimo Pauline gladiator)

These are the Fab strappy sandal from Forever 21 $7.50! I love these simple but so cute!

I found these funky little things at overstock.com made by Draven for$30!

Again another fun pair from Draven at overstock.com for $28! Super cute with the sparrows on them!

These are another pair form Zoe & Zac for Payless! The Daisy frayed skimmer comes in red (shown), Blue, and Camo for $19.99!

Okay So that ends my shoe edition! Shoes are fun and can be just the thing to make your look so have fun with it and remember to do some looking around you may end up saving a ton by clicking on a few sites!

Easter 2009

This is Adlie Easter morning with her bloomers and pretty socks on and bunny buddy! Adlie and Braxten Easter morning.Maddux is the bunny now!

Easter dinner always is ham,mashed potatoes,yams,green beans,deviled eggs,and rolls!YUMO!!! This little lady had her fill (she tried mashed potatoes for the first time! she spit them right out too)

This was Adlie's first Easter! It was beautiful warm and sunny with a light breeze. We ate tons of food drank way to much Jones soda (yumo)! Played rummy and wii and just enjoyed our time with family and loved watching the little ones play!

Sorry this post is PICTURE HEAVY!!! But the little ones looked way way to cute to pass up!

Who does this little girl look like!?

I see her daddy in her and I also see myself in her though more times I hear she looks just like Matt so here are pictures of me and him and her you be the judge! The first is daddy at 6ish months then Adlie at 3 months and mommy at 8ish months.Who ever she looks like she is beautiful and oh so loved!

Easter on a recession budget

So a few weeks ago Kelly ( http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/) encouraged us to do some recession budget shopping. So today I decided to try it again! With Easter coming up I decided to do a family of 4 with new shoes for under $150! Without the shoes it is under $90! That is 4 people for $90!!!! So here are the outfits! enjoy!!!

The men's shirt ($9) and pants ($11) are from Walmart and the shoes ($19.99) are from Payless!

The boy's shirt ($5) pants ($7) and shoes ($14) are all from Walmart!

The woman's sweater ($7) tank ($6) and skirt ($16) are from Walmart and shoes ($12.99) from Payless!

Lastly the little girls outfit is all from the Children's place dress($14.99),sweater($7.49),socks($1.49),hat($2.99)and shoes($10.50)!
