Well the girl NEVER sits still any more she is running and climbing and I sometimes just can't keep up! I can't wait for the weather to stay warm so she can run off some of her wild haha. She is talking a lot and very clear most of the time (sometimes it is gibberish ha) She is learning to count and her colors and she loves to color and play with her doll house. She is eating great she loves veggies and fruit! She is also finally sleeping in her own bed in her own room all night long! She hates baths and getting her hair washed. She loves Mickey Mouse and just watched her first princess movie (Beauty and the Beast) and she loved it. She may be a mess but we love her so much. Here are a few recent pictures that I got of her!

Alastor is 3 months old

Alastor turned 3 months old on Sunday. We took him for his check up on Friday he is now 11lbs 1 oz and is 23 1/2 in long. he is in the 10% for weight and 40% for length. Our Dr. said he is not worried about him because he is gaining he was just a tiny guy when he was born (5lbs 15 oz) He is in size 1 diapers (he cannot wear pampers they gave him a chemical burn!!) and is in newborn clothes and some 0-3 months. He is a very happy baby he is always smiling and cooing. His eyes are still grey/blue and and he has brown hair. He also has the sweetest set of dimples! He just started sucking his thumb and not wanting use his pacifier. He has rolled over a few times. Adlie is in love with him and so are we. here are the pictures I took of him today.

AHHHHHH!!! Blogger finally let me post pictures! (seriously who really wants to read a blog with no pictures!) I will post again later with ALOT of pictures of Alastor believe it or not this little guy is 7 weeks old and I am head over heels in love with his sweet little self!

Isn't he just so dang cute! I could hold him and kiss on him all day long! ( and do some days haha)

And my big girl! Amazing how much she has changed in just one year! She is in full blown terrible 2's and man I am getting so tired of her fits but I am glad to know it wont last forever and she can be really sweet! Can you believe this was my little monkey just last year!!!

As you all know we planned for me to be induced on the 26th of December. We were to go in at 6am to start the meds... well all Christmas day we spend at home with Adlie and Matt's Dad we ordered Chinese food and just relaxed. I made sure all of our bags were packed and ready to go. I was nervous but excited so I cleaned up the house and we all got in bed for the night... Sleep was NOT going to happen for me I laid in bed and just waited.... at 5:30 am my phone rang... it was the hospital saying they could not have us in because they had several women in that were in labor so we had to wait....(they said they would call us back before noon to give us a new time to come in) at noon they had NOT called and I was getting quite anxious.... so Matt called the hospital and spoke with my Dr. he said to come in at 6pm and before we came to eat some lunch and try to take it easy ... So we got dressed and Matt asked me what I wanted to eat.... well all night all I could think about eating was Bob Evans Chicken and noodles. So off to Bob Evans we went. After lunch we went to Wal Mart to walk around and grab a few last minute things. We came home and I jumped in to the shower and got Adlie ready to go spend some time with her Poppy... Once Matt's dad came and picked Adlie up we packed up and headed to the hospital (not before stopping at McDonald's for one last thing to eat!)

We get to the hospital and get signed in and they get us in a room. The nurse checked me and I am at 2 and 70% effaced... not bad but not great... My dr comes in and says they will start me on cytotec and see what happens if I am not progressing they may send me home the next morning... EEK! Well about an hour after getting the cytotec I am having mild contractions and they are pretty regular too so there is no going home! (this is about 8pm....) I ask my nurse when they will start pitocin and she said it would be sometime early morning and to just relax and try to get some sleep... haha.... I continued to have contractions all night and they were pretty regular so they decided I did not need any more cytotec and at 5am they started a low dose of pitocin to make my contractions stronger and last longer to move baby down ( I was at 4 and 90% effaced at this point)...I labored on the birthing ball for a while then at almost 7 (shifts change at 7) my dr came in to check me I am at a 6 almost 7 and still 90% effaced... he said my water bag was bulging but he would let it break on its own....at 7:30 I asked my nurse if I could get some local pain medication because I had a lot of pressure and felt like I needed to push but knew my body wasn't ready. She checked me again (they can't give it to you after 8 ) I was almost 8 and 100% but she gave me some Nubian and with in 10 minutes I called the nurses back in and told them I needed to push NOW.... Matt was standing at my side and could see the baby's head. The nurse checked me and said YOU CANNOT PUSH THIS BABY OUT RIGHT NOW I DON'T GET PAID ENOUGH! I told her I could NOT wait he was coming NOW. They had to pull a dr in from the hall way to deliver Alastor. I pushed and his head came out in the water bag still the dr told me to wait to push again and he put a small hole in the bag of water and told me to push again and out he came and they handed him right to me. My first thought was OH MY GOD he is so tiny. I really though I was going to have an 8 lb baby they took him to clean him off and weigh him 5 lbs 15.5 oz 18 1/2 in long and the first thing the nurses said was he had a perfect round head. His Apgar scores were 8 and 9. He started nursing as soon as they gave him back to me and has been doing great...

Once I was good and the dr's and nurses left the room for a while Matt left to go get Adlie and I made a few phone calls..... a few hours of sleep and nursing and Matt came back with Adlie. She came in and Alastor was wrapped up and she couldn't see him Matt put her on my bed and I held Alastor out to her so she could see she smiled so big and kept telling us how tiny he was and how cute he is... I asked her if she wanted to hold him and she said no and got down to play.... A little while later she came to my bed and asked to hold him. I picked her up and handed her Alastor she got the biggest smile on her face and kept saying brother... I will admit I cried a little watching her with him...

We have been home for a little over a week now and he is growing (6lbs 4oz last Friday) and doing very well Adlie is doing great and has been loving her babies just like mama is. Alastor is such a mellow baby he sleeps well (4 hours nurse 4 hours nurse!!!!) He lost his umbilical stump yesterday but we will wait until next week to do a tub bath just to let it heal. We are nursing on demand and he seems to be happy. I was worried about how things would go when we got home but honestly it has been so easy .... We go back to the dr in a week and I will let you know how he is doing weight wise then.

Tomorrow morning at 6am we are going to check into the hospital and hopefully have Alastor sometime later tomorrow evening. Please pray for a quick delivery and a healthy mama and baby! I will be back in a few days to update and share pictures. My computer is going to be staying home this time so we can baby moon!

Monday Mugs- Winter...

Living in Indiana winter means snow and cold. and when I say snow I mean SNOW and oh its BEAUTIFUL!!! (with the exception of the fact that I am almost 39 weeks pregnant and well I'm not so graceful with this big belly!) We got about 3 inches tonight so here are some pictures of that!

Oh I got a new camera for when Alastor gets here and had to try the panoramic thing this is the view from our front door....

This was a few days ago but we had about 3 inches then and the wind was blowing so much and pushing all the snow up against our house and this is what it looked like when I opened the door... looks pretty haha ( I can't wait until spring to paint that front door... which means painting all the outdoor trim and the garage door too but I think we are doing Cranberry on the door and brown for the trim and garage door..)

Yes there is stuff in all the stockings haha and yes if you count there are 6 from left to right Daisy(the cat hers is full of toys and treats!) Matt,Mine, Adlie, Alastor,and Matt's dad has a stocking too... Our tree is also stuffed full of stuff We aren't sure if we will do the whole Santa thing or not we may do him on a small scale because we want Adlie to know Christmas is about Jesus which she is learning this year thanks to my nativity she carrys around Mary and Jesus and it is so sweet to hear her say Mama where is Mary? Any ways I hope you all enjoyed the peek at Winter Here in our house!

38 weeks...

Well this week was interesting I ended up in L&D on Thursday because of contractions... by the time they got in and got me checked out the contractions all but stopped :( anyways since we were in at 7am they said I didn't need to come for my apt later that afternoon so after being up all night we came home and pretty much slept all day which was nice. I am noticing lately I am TIRED all the time but at night... The dr at the hospital said I was in early labor and it could be any time but here we sit 4 days later and I am still pregnant..and still having contractions on and off. I go back to the dr on Wednesday and I am going to ask that he strip my membranes (alittle TMI) to see if that will jump start things more. If not well by this time next week I hopefully will be holding our little guy because we are being induced on the 26th. I will update you guys again on Wednesday after my apt or of course if something happens between now and then...

Adlie is (ALMOST!)2!!!

Adlie went today for her 2 year well baby check. She is getting so big I can't believe 2 years ago I was this pregnant with her! She weighs 25 lbs and is 32 in tall .... (35% for both she has always been on the smaller side) She eats anything and everything but meat....(chicken and sausage are the exceptions here) She LOVES yogart and any fruit or veggie she can get her hands on! She STILL does not sleep through the night most of the time.... She Loves Mickey Mouse and Spongebob (where did that one come from?!?) She loves shoes she spends alot of time clacking around our house wearing my heels (she walks better in them than I do lol) She is so into the whole dress up and play house thing she likes to wear her tutus and my heels and a play apron and make coffee in her play kitchen! She is also starting to want to feed her toys (right now she uses a bottle with them but I have a feeling once Alastor gets here she will start copying me and try breastfeeding her toys) She talks all the time yep even in her sleep... last night she was laughing and talking about Mickey in her sleep which made me laugh too!One of the new things she does is goes to Matt and asks to hold his hand and then leads him to her room to watch a movie or play with her toys she is such a daddy's girl lately (Fingers crossed this makes for little to no issues with jealosey). I have been planning her 2nd birthday party since October and had decided on a Hello Kitty party (she loves her) but a few days ago I was getting ready to order her plates and cups for her party and she saw the Minnie Mouse ones and well now we are having a Minnie Mouse party! and now I have some more work to do! What ever baby wants baby gets I guess haha. Well for the past 2 days I have tried to upload new pictures of Adlie and it just isnt working... but here is the post about her I will try tomorrow to get the pictures up for you all.

37 weeks...

my growing belly and our new family member... I think I talked a bit about her in my last post but this is Daisy (Adlie named her after Daisy on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) I am honestly not sure what "color" she is I keep joking that she is camo colored.... she is about 12 weeks old now and is just a sweet kitty.

On to the baby stuff.... I am 37 weeks (tomorrow) I went for my weekly check today and talked to the dr a bit about my fear of him not being head down so he checked and can I be honest that hurt worse than when they check for dilation!!!He had to push down on the top of my belly and then feel around my pelvis to see if he felt head and shoulders... THANK GOD he did!!! I have been so worried because when we watch my belly move and when I feel Alastor move I just can't tell if he was head down or not and I really want to skip a C-section if we can.... We are measuring right on and Alastor's heart rate today was 140 which is pretty normal for him. We talked a little about my scheduled induction for the 26th they may have me in Christmas night to get things started we will know more next week though. I have his bag of things packed and ready to go (though I just ordered a new diaper bag so I may be moving his stuff over to that once it gets here) I also got his baby book in the mail today so at this point I think we are as ready as we can be. I can't wait to see Adlie's face when she meets him for the first time. I will post again later about what is going with her she goes Monday for her 2 year check up! I cannot believe 2 years ago I was just as pregnant as I am right now! (I was also induced with Adlie on the 26th but she took her time coming out!)Well there you have it a quick update on how Alastor is doing and a look at my big belly!

36 weeks!

Seriously this pregnancy has been easy and gone by so fast (other than my hips lower back hurting all the time) ( also I am 36 weeks 4 days to be exact...) I go back to the dr on Thursday for a weekly check. We have set a date to meet Alastor if he doesn't come before then but it just so happens to be the same day I was induced with Adlie nearly 2 years ago... OMG my little girl is 21 days away from being 2! Y'all she is SO much fun she cracks me up every day and I can't wait to see her sweet little face when she meets her brother for the first time. I have Alastor's bag packed and I can probably be packed in a matter of a few moments if the time comes... For some reason I have this feeling that he will come on the 21st. That date will be 6 months from the day Matt's sister passed away after being in a car accident. It also happens to be a full moon. We will see Matt is hoping more for the 16th its so funny he is so ready to meet him that he even has Adlie pointing at my belly saying brother get out! We have almost finished Christmas shopping I have to just finish getting stuff for Matt's stocking and for his dad's stocking (we are going to have him over Christmas morning and have lots of stuff for him here so he feels like its Christmas instead of him at a empty house) I am finished for a while with bows which has been nice I have not made one bow it over a week! and I truly think my hands are thanking me!! I got a new camera because Adlie dropped mine on the hard wood floors a few months back and it just kept shaking and it got to the point it would not even shoot any more. I got the same thing I had before just the newer one with 14.1 mega pixels! I see a big difference from my 10.1! I don't know if I posted about William (the cat) or not but now we have a new kitty Daisy (Adlie named her) as you can tell our house and life is BUSY I will post again Thursday with baby updates and new pictures.

I know I know I am a bad bad blogger! I have promised a update for over a week and I have been so busy with bows ( I'll talk about that in a minute) Dr and Adlie that I am up way to late at night to even get a few seconds to post. But I am taking a break from bows for a few hours ha and give you guys a good full update.

Adlie update!
Adlie is now 21 (almost 22 months old!)months old! She is so busy and smart and funny and so many other things I wish I could bottle her up and keep her like this forever! She is trying hard to potty train herself (I am kind of dragging my feet on this with the new baby comming) She is talking so much.She has started eating alot better. She is in size 4 diapers (which if she dosn't have pants on she takes off!) She is in between size 12 month and 18 month in clothes though she can fit in some 24 month stuff. She wears size 5 shoes (this girl LOVES shoes! and can 90% of the time put them on herself on the right feet!) She is really starting to get some hair and always asks for a pony and a bow (which makes me VERY VERY happy!) She still wakes up at least once a night. I am not sure how tall or how much she weighs (she goes back in December). I think she is going to be a great big sister she likes to pat my belly or sit against it and feel Alastor move and she loves to give my belly kisses. I am going to try to attach a video of her saying family names to this post. oh she is a doll!

Alastor update!

Here is my belly at 28 weeks...

Well I am now almost 29 weeks! This pregnancy I have to this point gained 6 lbs (not bad really) Alastor is doing great his heart rate is in the 140's. He is ALWAYS moving. Which I love. One of my favorite things about being pregnant with Adlie and him has been just laying in the almost dark bedroom at night and watching them roll and kick all over the place. I am trying to enjoy this pregnancy because this is the last one for us. I went for my 1 hour glucose test and failed (had this test done last Wednesday and my arm is still bruised from the blood draw!) so Tuesday I went for my 3 hour test and thankfully I passed that. ( I had Gestational Diabeties with Adlie) My next check up is Wednesday. I have been measuring about a week and a half bigger for a while which the dr thinks is because of extra amniotic fluid (I also had this with Adlie) I have started to talk to the dr a little about induction just for the sake of having my mom here to be able to 1. watch Adlie durring labor and delivery and 2. because she missed Adlie's birth. My dr said he would induce me at 39 weeks (which is Christmas Eve... so he may let me go a few days earlier) Matt thinks Alastor is going to have other plans all together and come on December 16th which is fine with us as long as he is ready to come out. I do wake up in the morning having some Braxton hicks contractions but nothing bad.

Business update!

As you know I make bows. Well I decided I would see what I could do with that and I ended up deciding that wholesaleing them is the way to go. So I make hundreds of bows/clips for other people to sell at craft shows. I am doing pretty well some days I wish I had 4 more arms and 3 more hours a day to get things done but for us the bit I do is all extra money which has been nice because we are able to buy Adlie just about anything she wants and get lots of things for Alastor. I have it set so I take a break in a few weeks then I will go back to it until Alastor comes and once he comes I will take another break (but I will be working on stocking my more popular items so I can just ship as they are ordered). Right now I am enjoying the work and being busy and we will see how things go from here.

I am SWAMPED with bow orders. ( I sell 95% of my bows wholesale and it is craft show season which means I am BUSY!) Every thing is going great Alastor is growing growing growing! and so is Adlie. I will do a better update post on what is going on here once I am alittle caught up on orders. But I wanted to let you guys know I am still here just beyond busy. (I am 26 weeks 4 days pregnant!)

Alright its Monday and that means Easy blogging on my part thanks to Heather at Oswald Cuties!!!! Well I was trying to think of a good thing to do for this today and well you have all seen then and now pictures of Adlie so I figured I would do something different.... Dealing....

I have sat here with this page open for a few days now trying to wrap my head around things and get things out. The words are coming slowly. I am going to be real and honest with you all I think I am still truly in shock. I mean I saw her on Thursday and said goodbye to her but. I so badly wanted her to sit up and get out of that casket and everything was going to just be a bad dream. I cry a lot when I am alone. I pray and wonder what if. I know there isn't any thing that I can do today that will change what happened Sunday night. I keep asking myself Why didn't I text her Why wasn't she with me.....Why her? Why now? But those questions will go unanswered until we are all in heaven.

The last death we dealt with as a family was Matt's grandmother. I think death is easier dealt with when its someone who is older and lived a full life.Not that loosing Mamaw was easy it was still a shock and hurt our family very much. With Katy it was SO sudden and she was not even 20. It just doesn't seem fair. I feel sad for the girl driving the car and for the young boy that hit them also. There is a blind spot at the spot the accident happened and I know the driver never set out to do this on purpose. If one thing changes for the good over our family loosing Katy the light that they were turning at will be changed to a turn on arrow only. Whatever I have to do I will make sure NO one else looses a loved one in that spot because of a blind spot!

I'm still in shock but have bits of other emotions... anger, depression... This isn't easy and its not going to be for a LONG time. I loved Katy like she was my own sister but more than being that she was my friend. I spend several days a week with her and now I think in the next few weeks I am going to have some things to deal with because I will miss her for a very long time.

Please continue to pray for our family. My Mother in law is in the hospital in the ICU and not doing to well so pray for her also. And please pray for the driver of the car and the young boy that hit them they are going through all of this too and need prayers.

Thank you all so much excuse the rambling I truly am a mess and am not forming things fully in my head yet.

No thoughtless post today though it may be few words for now. Last night my husband's sister Katy was killed in a car accident. We are sad and will miss her beyond words but rejoice in the fact that we WILL see her again and that she is in the arms of Jesus Please pray for our family as we go through this next few days and weeks. I will post more as my heart heals and words come easier.

I know lately I have been taking the easy way out doing the mindless posts and you know what I like it! So here is another mindless post thanks to Monday Mugs and Heather at Oswald Cuties!!!

This week is all about babies.... with Adlie I am a total Momarazzi.I have THOUSANDS of pictures of this child (even ones from before she was here *belly shots and ultrasounds!)Back in early December I thought I lost everything because my laptop died and come to find out my hard drive was fried!!! Thank goodness for Matt's uncle and his being a computer WIZARD!!! I am forever grateful because he not only saved my lappy but he saved EVERY SINGLE PICTURE!!!! I will try hard not to over load you all! so Here we go!!!

So I am lazy and am just going to leave the pictures like this haha...

I have been feeling yucky lately which lends its self to no pictures (few) and letting my house go to well lets just say its a MESS! I am slowly working on wholesale orders of my bows still. Adlie is 17 months old today!!!! She is just getting so big! I will do a quick update of her...

She is in size 4 diapers.

12-18 month clothes

she is wearing size 4 wide shoes...(when she is not chewing on them)

she has 14 teeth (she got her top 2 eye teeth in)

She eats anything and everything (I even let her have a few bites of Ben and Jerrys Chunky Monkey!)

She is really starting to get hair it curls in the back when she is hot.

She loves wearing clothes and will biring stuff out for us to put on her.

She loves wearing my shoes (which is so cute she also wears matts sometimes so funny!)

She is talking alot some of her new words are pretty ,water, down, dog, thank you, Whats that.... and so many more its crazy how much she is talking.

She loves milk and would rather drink that than any thing else

She LOVES ice

She loves balls and has so many of them and cries when we dont get her new ones when we are out.

She loves fried okra

Good bye Sally girl...

As I posted earlier our cat Sally died early Sunday morning. She had been sick for the last few months and just showing her age more and more. She would sleep in one place all day and only move for food or water. She was a loving sweet cat and was a big part of our family.

We found Sally almost 6 years ago at Matt's parents house.I told Matt the day we found her we needed to take her home with us because she was so skinny and had no front claws. She came home with us that night and fell in love with Matt. She was his cat. His first cat. She has been with us through 5 moves and collage! She was the best cat and we will miss her so much.

The last few days I have been wondering how you are suppose to morn the death of a pet. As a christian we know pets don't have souls and will not go to heaven. But she was a big part of our family.I will miss her sweet face as she climbed in to our bed in the middle of the night. I will miss her begging for water while i brush my teeth. I will miss seeing her make a dent in the couch pillows. I will miss seeing her sitting in the window or under our Christmas tree. I will miss her period. When I lost our first baby I laid in bed for a few days and she was there. She use to sleep on my pillow some nights. When I was pregnant for Adlie she would lay against my belly and purr and Adlie would kick her.

Sally Girl we will miss your pretty face, your sweet quiet meow, and your loving purr. You were a wonderful pet and we are glad we found you and you let us be your family.

Our trip to my moms house...

We left Friday morning to spend some time with my family. My mom and my older sister Brandy came down to pick us up. We drove the 2 and a half hours to Plymouth. We ordered some pizza and ran to see my younger sister Darci and so my older sister Brandy could pick up her little guy Maddux. My mom and I ran home and ate dinner really quick and off we went to watch the high school musical where my youngest sister Danielle was in the pit play her trumpet. ( the musical was Hello Dolly and we had to leave just after the half because 1 it was beyond hot and we had Adlie stripped down and she was still mad and 2 she was getting sleepy) (the red arrow is Danielle and SHHHHHHH i am not suppose to take any pictures at the show!!!!!)

Saturday we just hung out at my moms while she was at work. We stayed in our jammies for most of the day! When my mom got home we dressed and went to dinner. It was yummy!! After dinner we went to Walmart to get my nephew Braxten's birthday gifts. Adlie and I got him clothes ( I like to give gifts that they can use). My mom and Fred him a basket ball hoop,a is fishing pole and an rc car...

Sunday we headed off to get my mom's nails done and then to sisters house for Braxten's birthday party. It was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!!! Adlie loves him and did pretty well playing. (I am the worst Aunt ever! I forgot my camera at my moms house so I don't have pictures of his party!!!!)

I worked inventory at my mom's work Tuesday and left Adlie with Darci ( this is the first time I left her to be watched by someone else!) We were gone for about 2 hours. I did lots of cooking and baking and spending time with my sisters the rest of the week.

Sorry for being missing again! Adlie and I took a little trip to see my family and while I did have my laptop with me I was enjoying and soaking in every moment I had with them and was sad to leave but man oh man did I miss my hubby!!! We came home on a sad note though our kitty Sally died early this afternoon... I will do a post about that tomorrow and I will also post pictures from our trip. Tonight I am wrapped in my down comforter with my orange kitty snuggled next to me , a plate of fresh chocolate chip cookies between me and my hubby just enjoying being home!

I found all of these thing in her doll house yesterday! if you notice her bedroom walls are yes very red YUCK! we have just not gotten around to them yet She still sleeps in our room but in her own bed part because her room is across the house and she still wakes up several times a night.)

Show us your life- Whats your day like?!

Its Friday! and that means its time for Show us your life over at Kelly's blog! Head over to her blog and read more Show us your life posts!

Our day starts any where between 10am-11am. Adlie and I wake up and we grab some breakfast. Some of her favorites are hard boiled eggs with cereal, Toast or a biscuit with apple butter and scrambled eggs, Oatmeal, Blueberry pancakes and some mornings she just wants a cereal bar. She then gets cleaned up and goes to play in the the living room while I pick up the kitchen.

We then play and watch a dvd while we play ( she loves Mickey Mouse Club house). By this time our living room is destroyed! Adlie loves to empty her toys all over the floor so she can sit in the toy box. Then its lunch time. Her favorite lunch is Fish sticks with peas, grapes, and crackers. She gets cleaned up then we get ready for a nap. Adlie naps for 2 to 2.5 hours on a good day. Some days its a real fight to get her to nap .

While Adlie is napping I do some cleaning. I clean one side of the house and the kitchen and living room every day. One side of the house is the Master bedroom/bathroom and dining room the other side of the house is Adlie's room, our office, Matt's video game room and the hall bathroom... Adlie doesn't sleep in her room and her room stays relatively clean she does play in there because her doll house is in there.After the cleaning I try to sneak in to the shower before Adlie wakes up.

After her nap its playing again. Adlie at this point plays pretty well independently so she plays while I work on dinner. Adlie will eat anything we eat for dinner. After dinner it is time for a bath because we let her feed her self.(she makes a huge mess but she is happier feeding her self). Adlie likes to take a long bath with the washing part right at the beginning and then she likes to play for about 15 minutes. ( Matt and I split this job every other day)

After her bath we get her in her jammies, snuggle up with her and read a book. then she gets her sippy cup and is put in bed with Violet play music. She is asleep before she goes off (10 minutes)
Once Adlie is asleep it is time for me to clean up again. Then I either work on making bows or blog or just watch a movie or play a video game... (Matt and I normally go to bed a few hours later.

That is our day. Filled with lots of playing and cleaning oh the joys of being a mommy of a 14 month old!

Well Adlie is 14 months old! She is so busy and in to everything! She is now running and climbs everything!

You are in 9-12 month clothes

You are in size 3 diapers

you eat 3 meals and 3 snacks a day

You still breastfeed once or twice a day...

You got a new big girl car seat! (but are still rear facing)

You talk and smile at everyone who will pay attention to you and if they wont pay attention to you will yell and wave until they do.

You call William buddy and love on him all the time

You take a 2 hour nap in the after noon

You sleep in your own bed for most of the night

You like to pull the curtains open and look out to see daddy come home

You have just started noticing the TV and like anything that plays music

You like when mommy reads you a book

You like to "talk" on the mommy's phone.

You like to take everything out of the pantry and carry it around

You like to ride in the back of the cart now instead of in the seat in front because you like to stand and dance while we are shopping

You hate when mommy puts things on your head right now so you have been wearing hats a lot instead of bows or headbands.

You now say mama dadda buddy nack (snack) milk hey no yeah go ball and a few others... you are a talker for sure!

You are still such a great baby and we are always asked if you are always as happy as you are when we are out. Mommy and Daddy love you big girl!

The dark side of TTC...

Yesterday my father in law said while playing with Adlie "I think Adlie needs a little brother." As much as we adore Adlie and would love it if God blessed us with another child I don't know if I want to put myself though the ups and downs of Trying...

In the 5 years Matt and I have been married we have been pregnant 3 times. I know you think wait they only have 1 child.... We suffered 2 miscarriages before having Adlie.

I hate the total disappointment I felt every time I would see a negative test. I hate the wait to know if this month was our month. I hate feeling like "being together" is a chore. I HATE putting myself though the months and months of tears just to have to put on a happy face to try then next month.

I am 25. We want 1 more child IF and WHEN God decides he wants to bless us with a baby. When and if we do decide to TTC we will not share that news because its just not fun having people ask well are you pregnant yet!

I mean really Adlie is only 14 months old I don't really think we need to get moving on the TTC thing any time soon.

Tonight I want to ask you to all pray over all the women who are TTC because it can feel like a long dark road that is filled with negative tests and disappointment in yourself and your body. Pray for God to be with them on this journey because it is not easy.

Adlie has been getting pretty banged up lately (she is now running all over the place!) as you can see from some pictures she has a cut on her head and a large bruise... here is how those happened....

The cut happened a few weeks ago. She was trying to pick something up off the floor in front of the fire place and she hit her head just right on one of the stones. I was a mess I told Matt we may need to go to the hospital. All I saw was my poor little girl's face covered in blood. I went in to mommy mode. I sat her down in my lap wiped her up and calmed my self and her down and once she was cleaned up we noticed it was just a small cut and she was acting fine so we put a band aid on and called it a night. She really scared me... I wish I had taken a picture of my socks though just to show you all I had blood on my shirt pants and socks but on my one sock the blood was shaped in to a heart so weird...

The large bruise is very new she likes to pick things up out of the pantry or if we leave soda bottles in the entry she thinks she needs to carry them so she was trying to pick a soda bottle up and slipped hitting her head on the side of the couch! ( I was out shopping with Matt's sister and he called me in a panic telling me I needed to come home that he thinks her head was going to split open ) *he panics more than me* So thank God we were only a mile from the house we rush home I grab her and calm her down and just notice a very large *think an egg cut in half* bump on her head it was already bruised and looked bad but as soon as I got her in my arms she was fine no tears and she was smiling and happy. I call my mom to see if we should take her in to the ER and she and I talk for a few minutes and we decide if she is acting fine and we can get the swelling down she is ok . Thankfully with in an hour the swelling was gone and all that was left was a nasty bruise... and here we are a week later and it is yellowing and fading...

I just know this is just the beginning of all of this but man does it give my heart a start when my little girl is hurt!

Adlie is 13 months old!

Oh how I wish I was posting cute pictures of Adlie today but she has been a drooling snotty nosed fussy mess! She is currently cutting 4 (maybe more) teeth! That will up her tooth count to 12...

She is pretty much running!

She is still nursing 3-4 times a day but not in the middle of the night!

She is wearing size 3 diapers

She is in size 9-12 months they are a bit big but oh well

She has moved in to her brand new big girl car seat! and she loves it!

She learned to say no and shakes her head no too which is funny

She also says Tickle tickle tickle (she uses this also to call the cats)

She drinks a lot of whole milk and that was a pretty easy transition

She weighs 20lbs 10 oz (when we went for a weight check at the end of January)

She takes 1 nap a day

She loves Ice lately if I have some in a cup she will whine until i give her some

She loves playing in the kitchen caring bottles or cans of food around...(remind me to show you our new kitchen floor and paint job!)

She loves snacks! She loves the Gerber cereal bars and the fruit leather

She plays very well alone most of the time and loves to cuddle and is for the most part a happy baby!

*She did hit her head on the fire place last Friday and gave me a good scare! I really thought we were going to have to go to the hospital thank goodness I got her cleaned up and realized she had a very small cut on her forehead which stopped bleeding after a few moments!*

I will try my hardest to shoot a few pictures of her when she is in better spirits!( Ok so this one is from a few days ago but notice the red cheeks yep she is teething! Oh and yes she has some ice!)

Another snapshot in my mind...

Last night we tried to get Adlie to sleep in her own bed but that didn't work well at all... late last night I found myself with Adlie in my arms cuddling like so many times in the early days of her life. I laid there with her snuggled in my arms her head resting just under my chin. I could hear the fan and the quiet jingle of Sally's collar I could smell the faint smell of blueberries from the new candle I had lit in the living room earlier. I just looked down at her and though to my self *Snap* I want to remember this forever. One day she will be to big to have mommy hold her and kiss her soft sweet smelling head. One day she will not want me to cuddle her to sleep. I Heart Baby review and blog announcement!!!

Recently I offered my blog up to some of the ladies on one of my hair bow forums. I asked the ladies to let me do a write up about their shop and the products they offer. One of the ladies (Jessica) allowed me to review her products! And let me tell you all how much I LOVE her hand made beanies! The Fabric she uses is so soft and the prints are just amazing!

The beanies we received!

We received 3 beanies and Adlie has worn all of them while we have been out in the last few days and every time she is wearing one we have been stopped at least 3 times by people telling us how cute her beanie is and asking where they could find one... I proceed to tell them where to find one and thank them for the compliments.

Adlie loves to wear them and lately has been carrying one around and rubbing it on her cheek because that is just how soft it is. She also normally takes any hat or beanie off immediately but she leaves these on. In fact she fell asleep wearing one the other day! That is how much she even loves these sweet beanies!

OK so I feel like I have gushed about these beanies a lot and now you need to "meet" Jessica!

So that being my inspiration I began designing baby beanies from newborn-children's size. My theory being, " if all else fails....accessorize!" I started designing and making little boy beanies with the most unique and fun fabrics I could find,from skull prints to a variety of Argyle,Hound's-tooth,Alligators, and even solid beanies with fabulous screen prints. Every fabric is chosen specifically for comfort ability and style. the prints are unique and fun and the solids are done in the most wonderful colors I can find. The fabrics vary from a thin jersey knit, to sweater knit, to a thicker fleece and thermal for the cold days. In my search for the coolest fabrics to spice up my sons wardrobe I started making little girls beanies with all the cutest and most stylish fabrics that every little girl should have.

I have always had a passion for designing and making clothing and accessories,but it wasn't until I had my first son that I found my calling to design for babies and kids. Now I am preparing for baby boy #2, I have found my fate was to design unique and stylish clothes and accessories for little boys everywhere!

Adlie is 1!!!!

OH MY GOSH!!!! My sweet girl is 1! It came up so fast I feel like I missed it! I so wanted to post her birth story and then post this post but time has slipped away from me. Adlie is 1! She is such a joy and is so fun! Here is what she is up to right now.

You are29 1/2 inches Long!

You weigh 19 lbs and 4 oz!

You are eating all table food.

You are now drinking whole milk along with still being breastfeed! ( I can tell you that making that milestone is AMAZING! No formula and bottles I am pretty proud of myself! TYVM!)

You are in to everything!

You wear 6-9 and 9-12 clothes

You talk and scream all the time (you sound like you are speaking Chinese sometimes)

You can now climb on to the couch all by yourself!

I gave up on caging you in and put safety covers on all of the outlets and you have been great about not climbing in to the fire place!

You no longer wake up at night to nurse!

You now dance and it cracks me up!

You flirt with everyone and smile at any one who talks to you!

You played in the snow for the first time yesterday! (you liked it alright but you just sat in it and ate it)

You try to drink out of our cups all the time...

You have gone potty in the big potty 3 times! ( we only try when she is getting ready to go to the tub and she is already naked!)

You do know when you are going potty and if asked if you are you say yes... oh my silly little girl!

We love you so much Adlie!

Well I have been MIA for a while and though I could say it is because I am busy with the holidays that is not all true... My dear lappy died so I have not had the ease of access to type up a blog while Adlie plays at my feet in the living room safe from climbing under the desk and getting in to wires or in to my sewing stuff so I am more than likely buying a new laptop when our taxes come in though my husbands wonderful Uncle Ron thinks he may be able to get her back to running she will be my back up seeing as it was her HDD that went out. I have been so upset over it because I thought I lost every picture of Adlie's first year.... but we will see.. I will be back soon to talk about Adlie's birth and this last year with the greatest late Christmas present our family ever received. I hope you all have/had a VERY Merry Christmas and I will be back soon!

Not Me Monday...

Welcome to The Merritt Family blog! Its Monday and that means MckMamais doing her NMM post! Head over to her blog and read what she and everyone else has NOT been doing!

This week I did NOT catch William in our Christmas tree!And I did NOT take pictures!

I also did NOT make Adlie some cute "party panties" and wrap an empty box to take her picture for our Christmas cards!

I did NOT drink coffee rather late the other night causing Adlie to stay up extra late!

I am NOT continually peeking out the window for the first sight of snow!

I am NOT super mad at our mortgage company for STILL withholding our escrow amount! We are hoping to hear from them later today about that... oh and while I am mad I am also MAD at the IRS for taking FOREVER to get our amended return finished! * 9 weeks in off season is amazing they said it could take 16 weeks!!! Seriously 16 weeks!!!

I did NOT finish making Adlie's Birthday Invitations and I will NOT be showing you all in a later post * which will be full of questions and Ideas for her party!

I cannot believe my baby girl will be 1 in 20 days! It is so unreal how fast this year has gone....

Show us your life.... Christmas Tree

Its Friday and that means Show us your life over at Kelly's blog! And as you can see from the title its Christmas Tree time!!!! Our tree has been up for well over a month! (It was naked of ornaments until last week) We had to train our new little kitten to stay out of the tree and I didn't want broken ornaments! Yes I caught William in the tree several times... Many of those times he was all the way at the top!!!! As seen below!

Our tree this year is full of many handmade ornaments. Most of them made by my Grandma Niles... Here are a few from the previous years... She make us new ones new ones every year!

Here are a select few of our other ornaments on our tree... The first was Adlie's very first ornament! (I still need to get her babies first Christmas ornament!) The next is our first Christmas ornaments then a few others including one from Holland given to me by one of my preschoolers a few years ago!

And Last but not least some decorations and our TREE!!!!! As you can see our cats think the tree is the best place to sleep! If you look closely you can also see that our angel has a guitar! (that was Matt's doing!) Oh and there are a few shots of our mantle and of my VERY favorite nativity scene.

Adlie is 11 months old!

Adlie you are 11 months old! I cannot believe how quickly your first year seems to be flying by! Here is what you are up to these days!

You are still breastfeeding!

You are walking!

You are wearing size 3 diapers.

You are in some 3-6 and 6-9 month clothes.

You can say say several things now and you are learning to say Sally...

You no longer eat baby food.

You Love ramen noodle, grilled cheese, green beans, peas,carrots,potatoes,and hot dogs...

You had your very first diaper rash this month ! (Thanks to changing the type of wipes we use!)

You wave at everyone!

You Love looking at the Christmas lights!

You had your first Fever a few weeks ago!

You love Apple juice. And you can drink it from a sippy cup!

You still get Very Excited to see daddy when he comes home from work!

Adlie you are such a joy and I cannot believe next month I will be writing about your first birthday! We love you so very much and love who you are becoming!

There is just a short list!I made Adlie an outfit for her to wear today and everyone LOVED it!She was such a good girl today. She tried alot of new foods and liked them all. She had turkey,ham,real mashed potatoes,sweet potatoes,green beans, stuffing, pumpkin pie, and cool whip! She let every one see all of her little tricks and even let them hold her and snuggle for a while. She also took a good hour nap! I am just glad we had a drama free Thanksgiving! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

This Week on Show us your life from Kelly's Korner the theme is pets! So here are our furbabies!

This black and white green eyed beautie is Sally. She found us nearly 5 years ago. She was a stray that happened to show up at my in-laws house and refused to leave. Which worked out well for me because I am a huge cat lover! but this little lady found a soft spot in Matt's heart and she is his cat. She chose him. He never really cared for cats but this little lady just loved him and wouldn't let him have it any other way. (click on the picture to make it bigger there are some great pictures in there!) Sally we love you big kitty. (She is also called MOO Squid and Sallster oh and fatty ding dong!)

This fuzzy sweet faced little guy is William. William is the newest member of the Merritt family. We got him early in October because Sally missed her best friend*who will be next to come on the list*. William loves Adlie and likes to snuggle with us on the couch. He is always purring and playing. He also likes to get under our bed and attack our feet from under the bed skirt. (He is also called Willard, Wee Willy Winker and Little Buddy.)

And this is the Late Dante. He was our kitty for 2 years then he got out of our apartment and got run over by a car :( He was my baby. (he was also called Doodle,Danteman, and Mr Man...)

Not me Monday...

I did NOT wake up a few days back to a small orange fluffy sweet kitten peeing on my down comforter!!! Nope not me! And I didn't carry him in to my husband for him to punish him either!

I did NOT eat a hot pocket for breakfast even though I made Adlie oatmeal and I surly could have had some for myself too!

I did NOT get to take a nice long nap this afternoon because Daddy has the next 3 days off and I needed some good sleep after Adlie decided waking up every 2 hours was a good idea last night. *thanks to William who thinks night time is play time!)

I am NOT almost done with our Christmas cards!!!

We are NOT driving out of our way later tonight to go pick up a video game at a midnight release! NOPE! (5 hours until L4D2!!!)

Ok This should be easy I have a few questions. Adlie is 46ish days away from being a year old. Yes you saw that right 46 days ! So my first question is... What was/is your kids favorite toy at that age? What do/did you buy them for their first birthday?

And 2 days before our little lady turns 1 it will be her very first Christmas! I am so excited to start making memories in our new home with our little girl! So at this age did you do stockings for your little ones? If so what did you put in it ?We are not doing candy. I am thinking about getting her some cute clips and bows to go in hers but after that I am clueless. I know family will be starting to ask what she needs/wants for Christmas and really im not sure! Matt and I are getting her some clothes and a few big toys and then a few small toys but what should we tell family she needs. wants?
Also what are your fun traditions you do as a family on Christmas day? I think we are going to do family pajamas... we will get some that match and open them Christmas eve and wear them that night to open our presents in for cute pictures and I will make a big breakfast to enjoy while we open gifts then pack up the car for a 2 1/2 hour drive to my moms.

I feel like a bad blogger lately. I have not been posting as much because I am busy and we are dealing with some family things. I just ask you to pray hard for my in laws and will leave it at that. I have been making tons of bows and I am at a point where I am done for a while. (I love making bows but I have been making so many I need a break and a new hobby!)

I put our Christmas tree up and right now it has 2 strings of lights on it and that is all! It isn't even shaped! My living room looks like a tiny hurricane went through it(her name is Adlie btw).
Adlie is doing some modeling for an online boutique.... Matt is working a lot! It is just busy. Right now Adlie is sleeping in her car seat after a run to Best Buy and to Hobby Lobby. I will get her up in a few minutes I just needed to have a few moments to myself. I guess the cats may wake Adlie up before I get to they are running all over the place.

My heart is heavy over things going on with the family but I cannot do any thing and I really wish I felt ok enough to just let it all out here on my blog but there is so much that just is so hard to say let alone put in to words on the Internet to tell people I only call my dear bloggy friends. I am very thankful for a wonderful husband and I just hope his family will get things straight with God and the rest of the family.
